From Access Hollywood:

It’s getting spooky (and surprising!) on “Two And A Half Men,” as the character of Charlie Harper – formerly played by Charlie Sheen – returns.

The most surprising part of the character’s return is that Kathy Bates will be playing him!

CBS announced that the character – who was killed off on the season premiere – returns after Alan Harper (Jon Cyrer) suffers a minor heart attack and is visited by Harper’s ghost in the hospital.

Bates, who is obviously female and almost 20 years older than Sheen – who is currently working on his own new show, “Anger Management” — will appear on the April 30 episode of the CBS comedy.
