Here's some important news courtesy of The Daily Beast. It has been revealed that a "Trump goon" had a revolting meltdown after being confronted by protesters at a restaurant. The Daily Beast has the story filed under "Gross Encounters," and the subhead reads, "The vile revelation was just one of many damning details exposed in a shock report about the top Cabinet member." Gross! Vile! Shocking! Damning! I can't wait to find out which Trump goon this was.

Ewan Palmer reports:
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had a revolting meltdown after protesters confronted him at a fancy restaurant, it has been revealed.
In December 2025, members of the activist group CodePink heckled Bessent while he ate at the Brazilian-influenced Italian restaurant Reveler’s Hour in Washington, D.C., where a starter of grilled carrots cost $19, and encouraged other diners to give him a mock toast.
“So let’s give it up for the man who is eating in peace as people starve across the world based on his sanctions, which are economic warfare,” CodePink organizer Olivia DiNucci said.
Bessent first responded to the demonstration by sarcastically raising his glass and calling the protesters “ignorant.” The Treasury secretary then “erupted” at the restaurant’s owner for not removing them, then spat in his own food and left, sources, including the owner, told The Wall Street Journal.
I think The Daily Beast kind of oversold the "revolting" part of Scott Bessent's response. Besides, this happened nearly a year ago.
There's a really blurry photo of Bessent credited to CodePink with the caption, "Scott Bessent had booed the protesters before taking his anger to the next level."
@thedailybeast If you’re harassing people at restaurants, you need to reevaluate your life because you’re the bad person

@thedailybeast Correction: The goons were the revolting people harassing a gay man while he ate dinner.

@thedailybeast Fun fact, the people being harassed at the restaurant are definitely not the “goons”.

@thedailybeast Sounds like a bunch of facists bothering someone trying to eat dinner

@thedailybeast This article is stupid. Not surprised really since most of your articles are shit.

@thedailybeast Protesters? There’s no such thing as protesters you piece of shit. They are harassers, other pieces of shit who self privilege themselves to harass others as if they get to do what they want because they claim some kind of moral cause. Go fuck yourselves.

@thedailybeast Code Pink is a CCP front group. That seems relevant to why they would harass a man eating dinner, why the restaurant would be expected to remove them, and why other people would provide political cover for their campaign of harassment. https://t.co/dN7KEAWaOg

@thedailybeast Anyone know who authored this stupid piece? They should be confronted every time they go out and see how it feels.

@thedailybeast Ewan Palmer would faint if anyone raised their voice to him, much less interrupted his evening.

Palmer is really trying too hard to sell an incident from last December as a meltdown. "It has been revealed." Way to stay on top of the "news," Daily Beast.
You know what was really gross and revolting? CodePink's Madea Benjamin inviting Vanity Fair to her son's gravesite to do a glamour shoot of her spread out on the ground for the magazine. Imagine ever taking CodePink's side on anything.
