White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino Jr. turned off a lot of conservatives with this video he posted to his personal X account on Saturday. They say it's a bad look to be partying when people are worried about gas prices and groceries.

Do you WANT to lose midterms? Is this intentional?
— Among the Wildflowers (@deaflibertarian) September 28, 2026
You should delete this post. The optics 🤢
— RinTinTin (@alkaseltzerplus) September 28, 2026
Reminds me of visiting my conservative voting relatives in rural Ohio. Modest, hardworking, and frugal.
— Nick Messenger (@_nickmessenger) September 28, 2026
Are you trying to lose?
— Mark Mitchell, Honest Pollster (@honestpollster) September 28, 2026
The post also received the "tsk tsk" treatment from CNN's humorless scold Jake Tapper. Why so serious?

Oh no. It’s the end of world. 🤣 you are such a clown.
— Mandy (@AmericangirlMNM) September 27, 2026
It’s a fun AI video. And what if it was real? So what?
— TheJerseyGirl (@ChristineX2024) September 27, 2026
Guy posts an AI video making fun of himself, "journalist" @jaketapper has the vapors.
— Wonko the Sane (@Amuk31) September 27, 2026
LOL! Gotta love an administration that can laugh!

Jake, you don't see that the video is fake?
— Richard Greene (@Richard57517088) September 27, 2026
Or is it that having spent the majority of your time pushing fake shit you're incapable of recognizing fake shit?
Get a life Jake. It’s a AI video. Unlike the crap you showed of Biden pretending everything was alright🙄
— Kelly Smith (@KellySmith91273) September 27, 2026
Seems like a fun party. You weren't invited Jake?
— Jamal Lloyd (@JamalLloyd1986) September 28, 2026
Also triggered was outgoing Rep. Thomas Massie:
When they ask me “why didn’t you just go along with the folks over at the White House?”
— Thomas Massie (@RepThomasMassie) September 28, 2026
(Dan is deputy Chief of Staff) https://t.co/wh2l0eExR6
It’s not real, Tom Quixote. Just like the Epstein names you promised to read.
— Kevin Berger (@KevinBerge9223) September 28, 2026
Oh look, you are whining about more shit.
— elENoCHle (@NewsBlast17) September 28, 2026
On brand for you.
Thomas Massie has the remarkable ability to suck every ounce of joy out of a room and replace it with smug self-righteousness.
— SharrellAnne (@SharrellAnne2) September 28, 2026
My God, man. People are having fun. You don’t have to turn absolutely everything into a fucking grievance.
You know this is a joke and you know he is responding to someone's request about the Pitbull song. I'm pretty sure everyone knew that yesterday. Did they tell you to keep this nonsense going today? You absolute clown.
— Shawn (@shawn_0700) September 28, 2026
Please Massie. Dan didn’t make the video, he posted it and it’s funny. It’s ok to have some fun. This White House is running circles around every other administration in history. A little fun here and there is ok.
— Heather Sessions (@blu0706) September 28, 2026
That’s because we still know how to have JOY and a sense of humor while saving the world.
— Felicia Przybocki (@FeliciaP1204) September 28, 2026
Have you always been a humorless scold?
— Grasshopper (@Dreamzzzs) September 28, 2026
Massie was not always like this. Tapper has been for so long we don't remember when he wasn't a humorless scold. So, Scavino had a little fun with AI. Next thing you know, we won't be allowed to make Marco Rubio AI memes anymore.
