Chris Hayes: The Most Left-Wing People Have Postgraduate Degrees but Are Financially Strapped

The Chris Hayes Podcast

Colorado's Democratic Socialist House candidate, Melat Kiros, whose parents emigrated from Ethiopia when she was a child, is a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Public Affairs. She has admitted she carries student debt, but not $250,000—that's the top bracket on her personal financial disclosure forms. She was fired from her job as a lawyer in 2023 for writing an open letter in support of October 7.
