The 'Good Trouble Lives On' Protests Drew a Certain Demographic

AP Photo/Crowley County

I had planned to take Thursday night off for several months … it was only the day before that I'd learned that Thursday was another national day of protests against the Trump administration, like the "No Kings" protests last month. I didn't see any posts about the protests, so I thought I'd go back and take a look to see what I missed. It doesn't look like much.

These were "Good Trouble Lives On" protests, and they were scheduled for Thursday because that marked the fifth anniversary of John Lewis' death. I guess not everyone could get Thursday off, because the protests didn't gain much attention.

"Hundreds."

Newsmax covered the protests:

I can't help but notice the age of the people protesting.

Weren't Harry Sisson and David Hogg supposed to energize Generation Z? Where are they?

Here's some more white hair in Wake Forest:

Did Civil Rights leader Lewis not inspire any black people? Or just elderly white retirees.

I would have thought a city as big as Houston would have had a larger turnout. It looks like since USAID isn't paying for their signs anymore, the arts and crafts crew had to bring their own spare cardboard and paints.

I remember the John Lewis funeral. He got to have one despite the COVID pandemic.

This is from the Providence Journal's political reporter:

"Dozens" — finally, someone who can count.

I'm sure you're all fascinated by these clips. I guess I didn't miss much on Thursday.
