Council Member Lets 'Low' Constituents Know Just What He Thinks of Them

Twitchy

I don't understand politicians. I would never want to be one, ever. But I guess I'm glad some people are willing to step up and run things, even though they so often turn out to be the last people who should be running things.

Politicians at all levels can be horrible people. Eddie Tejeda is a council member for Redlands, California. That doesn't sound like much of a big deal to me, but apparently it elevates him far above the constituents who voted him into office. Watch him ridicule a member of the public who got up to speak at a council meeting.

This is the same situation as school boards and concerned parents. Just shut them down or have them arrested.

I do wonder just how few people get into politics just for altruistic reasons. What inspired this guy to run for city council? Could he not make it in the private sector? Is he a narcissist who just wanted more power for himself?

We need to be paying attention to government at all levels. And cleaning house.
