Laurence Tribe: If Only Adolf Hitler Had Been Sentenced to Life in Prison

meme

I usually count on NBC News presidential historian Michael Beschloss for hot takes like this one. For example, just a couple of weeks ago Beschloss told us that Florida Gov. "Rick" DeSantis has "tried to turn himself into sort of a local Mussolini in Florida with the book banning and the brutal tactics and even this suggestion that bloggers have to register with the state" (they didn't).

Laurence Tribe has some history for us that might prove relevant: It was exactly 100 years ago today that Adolf Hitler was arrested for a failed coup by the Nazis. Imagine if he'd been sentenced to life in prison … think of all the lives that could be saved.

We have Soros-backed DAs turning murderers loose on no-cash bail as part of "restorative justice." Maybe we could focus on the real criminals, and not Donald Trump.

The parallels are eerie. Trump must be imprisoned for life or who knows how many could die?

So DeSantis is Mussolini and Trump is Hitler. Guess we'd better re-elect mush-brained Joe Biden to save lives.

We've been promised there will be tanks in the streets if Trump is re-elected. Why he didn't do that or anything remotely like it during his first term? Progressives still called him worse than Hitler.

Is Tribe counting on Trump being imprisoned for life before the 2024 election? They're certainly trying their best to get him behind bars, over an insurrection that wasn't an insurrection, but a "mostly peaceful" demonstration that got out of hand.

I can't believe this guy teaches constitutional law at Harvard. Actually, after David Hogg graduated from there, I'll believe anything.
