I remember back in 2018, when Brian Stelter, who was then still being paid by CNN to watch Fox News all day, tried to downplay the impending arrival of a huge migrant caravan that was headed through Mexico.
i'm watching the coverage. the southern border is 1,954 miles long. it's not being "overwhelmed."
— Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) November 25, 2018
Good call, Tater. The border isn't being overwhelmed. It's just scare-mongering by Fox News.
Even now, after President Biden said he'd shut down the border if given the power by Congress, there are border crisis deniers.
There is no border crisis, except for the immigrants themselves. And their treatment isn't what the GOP cares about. They want to prevent them from coming to appease their racist base.
— David Doney (@David_Charts) January 30, 2024
Ah, racism. That's why all of those black citizens of Chicago were complaining about illegal immigrants taking all of the resources for their community. It's why New York City's black mayor said migrants were destroying the city as we know it.
The "border crisis" is a xenophobic mania rooted in the fact that our media mechanically repeats anything claim by the GOP or its partisan press as half true. This "crisis" has only been created to stir up anger and demographic panic and prepare the ground for a fascist president https://t.co/P3MMIcGNPZ

That's it … it's the left-wing media like the New York Times, CNN, and the Washington Post repeating Republican talking points, as they always do. The media is stirring up this "xenophobic mania" to prepare the ground for a fascist president.

So there's no border crisis, but blue city mayors are reporting that shelters are overwhelmed, hospitals are overwhelmed, and school districts are overwhelmed. Over 300,000 more migrants came across the border in December — are these black Democrat mayors going to whine about reaching the "breaking point" again?
Just for our knowledge, at what number of illegal and/or asylum seekers per year would you consider the border to be a crisis?
— Pee Baa (@Pee_Baaa) January 30, 2024
President Biden seems to think 1.8 million per year is a good deal.
new york city faces a multi-billion dollar budget deficit as a result of the influx of asylum seekers. other jurisdictions are facing similar pressures, i think the state of massachusetts declared a state of emergency over it.

the crisis is real, open borders have consequences.
Secure national borders isn't fascist.

Other than racism, homophobia, and sexism, what ails the United States Will?
— BenBen4U (@BenBen_4U) January 30, 2024
I see we’re doing the “Great Replacement isn’t happening” bit.
— Juice Deliveryman🧃🧯 (@delicto_pi97218) January 30, 2024
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for when you do the “Great Replacement is a good thing” bit.
The lack of processing capacity and inability for states to house aslyum claims is a legit crisis
— TheBlueEyesWhiteAccountantCard (@TADStrange89) January 30, 2024
Tell that to NY, Chicago, Denver, and DC

This won't age well. Screenshot for posterity.

Yes the well known…right wing bias…of the mainstream media 😬🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
— Mrs_Klaws (@Mrs_Klaws) January 30, 2024
We have like 2k migrants living in a tent city on a flood-prone abandoned air field in Brooklyn. When storms roll in they need to be evacuated to public schools. Seems problematic. https://t.co/jUgmhG2Wl9
— Jennifer Brett (@JenniferBrett15) January 30, 2024
Better stick to Sailer bashing.
— Petrillo (@csd9byptmr) January 30, 2024
The border is open, and no histrionics about “xenophobia” changes that reality.
That open border depresses wages for people at the bottom-the sort of people lefties pretend to care about. Or used to.
Leftism is just hatred of the plebes now.
You can be pro immigration and recognize there is a crisis. People, including children, are dying trying to cross into the country. The border is being overwhelmed with people. Cities are struggling to find ways to house and care for all of them. How is that not a crisis?
— Caleb Wheeler (@cawheeler) January 30, 2024
Being outraged about millions of completely unvetted foreigners pouring into the country is not "xenophobic"
— Pauly (@Joseph_Kerr26) January 30, 2024
Do you even know what that word means?
I stopped taking him seriously when he threw in "xenophobic."
I can tell where you don’t live, Will.
— Elwood (@elwood) January 30, 2024
So it's the right-wing mainstream media pushing the "crisis" narrative to appeal to their racist readership.
Since there's no crisis, please tell the mayors of sanctuary cities to stop complaining about being overwhelmed.
