I've done a few posts today on both the Biden administration and the media going soft in their support for Israel. Jake Sullivan told Israel the U.S. would like Israel to "lower the intensity" of its ground war in Gaza. President Biden earlier this week accused Israel of "indiscriminate bombing," but no one in the White House briefing room thought to ask Karine Jean-Pierre about that assessment. I really did have a brief spark of respect for Biden in the days after October 7, but it seems he's anxious for Israel to wrap things up.
As we recently reported, about 40 White House interns "anonymously" signed a letter to Biden urging him to call for a ceasefire, and what could be more persuasive than that?
According to Politico's West Wing Playbook, a source said the letter was organized by a woman named Thara Nagarajan "who is not directly affiliated with the White House."
"But still, no one could figure out who Nagarajan was — or how she got access to the intern chat. After Nagarajan sent that message, she immediately left the group."

Now WWPlaybook reports genesis of letter could be an anonymous person who joined intern group chat, urged action, and then disappeared
No one knows this person and @politico can’t track down… pic.twitter.com/MAqb370Kuv

Was this foreign or maligned influence that infiltrated WH group?
Politico tried to track her down but calls, emails, and texts went unanswered.

So who exactly orchestrated this letter?
Well, that’s not any kind of security concern at all.

So embarrassing for NBC

Yeah, NBC News ran it as an "exclusive."
“I didn’t know the person even though it was supposed to be a closed chat but jumped on chance to sign onto a document defying my boss on a geopolitical issue I know very little about compared to the grownups!”

Wait.

Someone infiltrated a chat group of people that work at the WH?
Shouldn’t the @FBI and @SecretService be investigating this? Seems like a security risk to me.
It's interesting how when the blowback came in hot and heavy, they suddenly discover that a mysterious person joined the chat, stirred the pot, and disappeared. 😏

Security threat the whole lot of them, especially the whoever let the anonymous outsider join the chat. They should be let go, they are serious security time bomb risk waiting to go off

So we should resume practice of ignoring interns?
— JVK (@jk_sobchak) December 14, 2023
Will do.
Was this a foreign disinformation campaign? Either way, the interns are idiots and should all lose their jobs.
