"What was once a proudly purple state has turned an angry red," they say. No, that's what the writer says, and then just poked around to find a few people to quote to prove that Florida is a hellhole under Gov. Ron DeSantis. This isn't the first story I've seen about people leaving, or threatening to leave, Florida because DeSantis is a fascist. There was that one family with a transgender child leaving the state, and they managed to get video footage of the family both packing up their belongings and driving off hauling a U-Haul trailer.
I remember when journalist Salena Zito was so reviled by the Left because she interviewed people in small towns who voted for Donald Trump. They were sick to death of all of those stories about people at diners telling their stories. So I guess I can be sick of the interviews with people bitching about Florida and how horrible it's become.

Florida didn't change. These people have moved so far to the left that they wouldn't even tolerate the Florida Democrats from 10-20 years ago when the state was purple.
