NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell knows how to tell Trump isn't president anymore

Meme

The big news of the day was Donald Trump appearing in a Washington, D.C. courtroom to be arraigned on charges related to January 6, 2021. Supporters lined the street outside waving the American flag and Trump campaign flags. Unlike Rob Reiner pictured, Trump wasn't dragged in by six cops. One MSNBC producer noted that while his attorneys presented him as President Trump, the judge called him Mr. Trump. At least she didn't call him "the former guy" — some people still won't utter Trump's name.

The media could have spent plenty of time today going over the Devon Archer transcript, but reminiscent of CNN showing Trump's empty podium for half an hour, NBC News got a compelling shot of Trump's plane waiting to take off. And as Kelly O'Donnell noted, Trump had to wait to taxi, unlike Air Force One.

Breaking: Trump is not president currently.

He's not in prison yet, but he did have to wait for clearance on his private 747, so that had to stick in his craw.
