I'm not Catholic, but my wife is a converted Catholic and we raised our two kids Catholic. They also attended a Catholic school. Our intention was not to indoctrinate them … if we wanted that, we'd have sent them to a public school. They got a great education and went on to a Jesuit university.
The Left has a real problem with children getting the best education they can, and it also has a warped understanding of the "separation of church and state" clause of the Constitution. The government isn't allowed to establish a religion, but you have the freedom to practice whatever religion you choose.
The ACLU says it's suing to keep a Catholic school from becoming the first religious public charter school. We don't fully understand … are children being forced to attend this school?

Oklahoma approved a virtual Catholic school's request to become a public school, despite plans to discriminate against students and religiously indoctrinate them.
We'll see them in court.
Again, it's hilarious that the ACLU is worried about schools indoctrinating children.

The ACLU actually was on the right side of an issue a couple of years ago, but I forget what it was. It was quite a surprise, though, to see the ALCU fighting for civil rights for a change.
