This is funny. Bill Kristol says he’s neither Left nor woke. But is he one of those guys walking around still claiming to be a True Conservative™? We can’t recall the last time he posted anything even remotely conservative to Twitter or we might have written about it. Maybe it’s just him, but he finds Gov. Ron DeSantis’ boast that he’ll “destroy leftism” and his claim that “Florida is where woke goes to die” creepy.
Creepy.
Anyone with eyes who can see that leftism is destroying the country would be happy to be rid of it. And DeSantis is making good on his claim of wokeness by stripping critical race theory out of school curriculums and defunding DEI departments in state universities. Some would consider those conservative wins.
At the risk of being too earnest, may I say that DeSantis's boasts that he "will destroy leftism in this country" and "Florida is where woke goes to die" are creepy? I'm neither Left nor woke, but in a free country, individuals and groups do have a right to be Left or woke.
