People who said that presidential candidate Ron DeSantis needed to step out of his bubble of right-wing media outlets and face unfriendly audiences have apparently never seen the Florida governor give a press conference. With perhaps one exception, Florida media is completely biased against DeSantis and is perhaps the most hostile audience he could speak to. These Floridians say they know what a dictator DeSantis is because they live in the hellscape that is Florida.

Two taxpayer watchdog groups are raising concerns about the use of the state plane by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Shortly after speaking at the Florida Parent Educators Association in Orlando, DeSantis boarded the state’s $15 million jet, a Cessna Citation Latitude, and took off from Orlando back to Tallahassee.
We know this because WESH 2 Investigates has been tracking the plane, using publicly available online websites, since it was purchased in 2019 for the sole purpose of transporting the governor for “official” business.

Everything DeSantis does now will be considered a “blurring of the lines” between governing and campaigning. The media didn’t seem as concerned about California Gov. Gavin Newsom flying all over the country to red states to which he’d banned state travel to campaign against DeSantis.
