As Twitchy just reported, Disney has filed suit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over his takeover of its theme park district, alleging the governor waged a “targeted campaign of government retaliation” after the company opposed the Parental Rights in Education bill. Just a quick reminder: Disney picked this fight after management caved to the inmates running the asylum.
It’s almost like Roe v. Wade — it had been around so long that it was settled and could never be challenged or changed. The same goes for the 1967 Reedy Creek Improvement Act, which allowed Disney to act as its own government. Democrats always cry over government welfare but didn’t seem to have a problem giving Disney the authority to rule itself. Yes, the act dates back to 1967, but should it even have passed back then?
Gov. Ron DeSantis’ Deputy Press Secretary Jeremy Redfern reminded Disney and its allies that Disney has enjoyed special privileges that don’t apply to a single other corporation in Florida.

Disney had a good long run there as a self-governing body, but that’s been corrected to bring Disney in line with the rest of Florida’s businesses.

They want to get back on the nipple of Florida tax dollars so bad…
It suggests that they are a little bit desperate because their revenue stream is drying up now that they are basically the LGBT/groomer network rather than children’s entertainment.

Disney really picking this fight? They gonna loose and then what? Geez….

Y’all are going to look even more ridiculous when, after wasting the money of hard-working Floridians, you lose in court. Pride before the fall.

So you believe Disney should have rights that Universal, Sea World, and all other amusement parks are not allowed? That they can run a district with their own safety and building standards? That the district's own firefighters said was sub par in safety, equipment, and personnel?…

There's gonna be a lot of empty space for non-pedophile companies to build cool stuff after Disney World is bulldozed.

While Disney is laying off thousands of employees, they still retain their legal team.

I'm surprised as to the number of lefty's who are standing up for this greedy company. You'd think Disney was their master or something and Disney hasn't had to pay a dime to their college debt, yet they ass kiss like they will get something from it.

What's funny is Walt Disney would definitely have not let this happen. He was a crazy psychopathic tyrant but he knew that actual US states were bigger than him.

As someone asked above, why didn’t Univeral Studios or Sea World enjoy these privileges?
Libs seem pretty confident they’ll win this one, but if so, why do they keep suggesting that Disney World pick up and move to a blue state?
