This story is interesting because it’s a damning indictment of the “science” of consensus, the U.S. university system, and trans athletes in girls’ sports all at once. Fortunately, the incident got a good laugh out of the classroom, so there’s hope yet for the future.
College swimming champion Riley Gaines, an advocate of keeping biological males out of women’s sports, recently spoke at the University of Pittsburgh and asked an anthropology professor, the “expert” in the room, if you could dig up a skeleton and tell if the person had been male or female from the bone structure. Professor Gabby Yearwood said no, of course not.
When @Riley_Gaines_ asked University of Pittsburgh professor Gabby Yearwood if an archeologist could differentiate between two sets of bones as male and female, Professor Yearwood. who calls himself the “expert in the room,” answers “no” to which the entire audience laughed. pic.twitter.com/Ecxs1NMDTr

Yearwood’s pretty woke; check out his bio:
"Gabby Yearwood is a professor whose research focuses on 'the social constructions of race and racism, masculinity, gender, sex, Black Feminist and Black Queer theory, anthropology of sport and Black Diaspora' according to his bio."
LOL. That's a hack, not a scholar. https://t.co/pPXbEIweZN

When the self-proclaimed “expert in the room” is offended that his assertion that males & females don’t have distinct skeletal differences is laughable, one might wonder what students studying anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh are being taught by their professors? pic.twitter.com/5NtFLn4P9p

Here's the answer. That professor should resign immediately. pic.twitter.com/EMAMrFw5R4

Anyone that took his class needs to ask for a refund. He clearly isn't fit to teach. What a joke.

Can’t help but notice how the students stay in their seats and have no whistles or noise makers and aren’t screaming slurs and threats.
If the students were activists and the prof was asserting biological reality, this might look very different.

Ugh. I took forensic anthropology as an undergrad and the final was literally just identifying characteristics of 6 skeletons— sex, age, etc. Undergrads were able to do it.

Is this is the indicative of the quality of science education at Pitt then I’m so glad my daughter isn’t going there. It’s sad that a school that is supposedly known for their great science programs can feature someone so anti-science.

It’s common knowledge archaeologists can identify the sex of skeletons.

It literally happens every time human remains are found. That’s so ridiculous!

The current state of academia is an absolute joke

He wonders why he’s being laughed at? Everyone knows you can tell the difference between male and female strictly by the bone structure.

"I've got over 150 years of data (that I will ignore because in the last 3 years, I was told I was fill-in-the-blank-phobic if I said that there are biological differences between men and women.")
Everyone knows it. Only you are denying it.
That's why you're being laughed at.

150 years? What about that 5000 year old FEMALE skeleton they dug up last year?
— TopJimmy (@jp23mc) March 31, 2023
Do this test with 10 women en 10 men, make sure they're doing it correctly, the positioning is important. You'll see for yourself that men and women are anatomically different. pic.twitter.com/EJHBIa6U3w

I'm glad someone finally posted a video of this. For years now every time I heard the claim of "no difference" I would think of this. I remember learning this from some random book back when I was probably 12 in the mid 80's.

It feels like they’re outright trying to say that male and female don’t exist at all. They’ve completely lost the plot. As a politically-left person, this is my line in the sand. This thinking is sexist and harmful to women, who already are underrepresented in medical research.

How does the “expert” figure that archeologists have been identifying ancient remains all this time? Seriously, fire this guy and let him study black queer theory as a hobby.
