We’ve all seen the video of Epps inciting people to enter the Capitol, but in his second interview transcript, he claimed he thought the Capitol would be open to the public on January 6.

Rep. Adam Schiff asks Epps about the video: “What made you think that you might get arrested for urging people to go into the Capitol if you believed the Capitol was open?” “I don’t know,” Epps replied. “It was a heat of the moment thing.”
“I never intended to break the law. It’s not in my DNA,” he added. And apparently, he didn’t break the law, and that’s why he was removed from the FBI’s suspect database.
We can buy that Epps wasn’t working with the FBI. But we can’t explain the special treatment, still.”
