We’ve heard a lot about empathy ever since Joe Biden was elected president. A month before the 2020 election, his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, tweeted that “empathy is on the ballot” this November. So it’s not surprising that during his visit to Florida, Biden would try to empathize with those who lost their homes in Hurricane Ian.
Last November, while touting his infrastructure plan, Biden relayed how important bridges are to emergency services, recalling the time that he “had a house burn down with my wife in it”; fortunately, Jill got out safely.
When did Biden have his house burn down? Even Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler said the best he could find was a small kitchen fire.
Biden today: We "had a house burn down with my wife in it. She got out safely."
2004 AP news report: "A small fire that was contained to the kitchen….Jill reported the fire…The fire was under control in 20 minutes.'' https://t.co/2VcAebg9r5— Glenn Kessler (@GlennKesslerWP) November 16, 2021
Empathizing with Floridians, Biden again shared the story of how he once “lost an awful lot” of his home in a fire.
Joe Biden says he once “lost an awful lot” of his home in a fire. That never happened; he made it up. Totally normal. pic.twitter.com/W7Ma1YHf7O

What he meant to say was, that he "identified" as a man who's house caught on fire. 😏

Was that in Puerto Rico???

Must have been when he was a truck driver

If he wasn't fighting Corn Pop at shul every day, or driving his 18-wheeler around, maybe he could have done something about it.

He’s mixing up his kitchen with his presidency – going down in flames 🔥🔥🔥

He’s that guy in high school on the outskirts of a friend group who so desperately wants to fit in so he’s constantly trying to relate to the group but instead he comes off as a totally unrelatable.

He’s a serial liar. Our enemies must be licking their chops. What a worldwide embarrassment he is.
— Linda Traitz (@LindaTraitz) October 5, 2022
He really is a serial liar — that’s not partisan politics talking, that’s just a fact. Not to mention he’s a plagiarist too. We’re surprised he didn’t add a “You think I’m kidding,” which is his tell he’s lying.
