Now Rowling is getting involved in a controversy over the British children’s charity Mermaids. Someone calls Mermaids “the new Savile,” which refers to presenter Jimmy Savile, who after his death was found to have sexually abused literally hundreds of people.

The Tavistock Gender Identity Clinic shut down this summer, “with a number of former staff going public to raise concerns about the ‘overdiagnosing’ of gender dysphoria, the consequences of early medical interventions and the significant increase in referrals of girls questioning their gender identity,” reported The Guardian.
They've been allowed into classrooms, trained police and had unprecedented influence over health policy, even though by their own admission they aren't a medical charity. We've also found out they're sending devices to flatten breasts to underage girls w/o parental consent. 4/5
