A lot of people Thursday are talking about the New York Post’s story on how “the pandemic” erased two years of progress in reading and math. Keep in mind that the pandemic didn’t close schools — look at places like Florida where kids went to school as normal. It was union strongholds and blue states where schools remained closed. As we’ve mentioned, Karine Jean-Pierre is going above and beyond to spin for the Biden administration today. Not only is she doubling down on calling 74 million voters extremists, she’s also claiming that Democrats tried to keep schools open but Republicans stood in their way. No, really:
Jean-Pierre blames the "mismanagement of the Trump administration" for schools not opening sooner and says that "nearly all schools opened in less than 6 months [after Biden took office]. That was the work of this president and Democrats in spite of Republicans." pic.twitter.com/YHqYFNJPLk

This woman has got to go. Pay whatever it takes to get Jen Psaki back. At least she could lie well.
This, of course, is a lie that is easily disproven by anyone with eyes and a brain who was alive between August 2020-August 2021

Remember when the press made a big deal during the Trump yearsabout the necessity of calling out political lies in real time?
I'm beginning to think their commitment to that was insincere. https://t.co/rjnAiaFE3K

Dems: Here is a complete steaming pile of horse excrement that is contradicted by every written, verbal and video record in existence.
Media: Look at these brave public servants.
Dem voters: Oh noes, we hates the RethugliKKKans for shutting down everything. https://t.co/d0I3JSHxjb

Dems don’t care whether or not they’re flip flopping. That’s why they have the corporate media and “fact checkers” to cover their tracks.

The White House is absolutely burning any credibility it had left with tens of millions of Americans and doesn’t seem to care.
