Here’s a post from one of the many Facebook groups for parents of non-binary kids, where mothers can share things like where to find the best underwear for tucking their daughter’s testicles. This mom has twins, one of whom is non-binary, and she uses a non-binary doll to teach them to use the proper pronouns to refer to the doll. Every time they use the doll’s pronouns correctly, they get an M&M.
This mom is training her 6 year old twins, one of whom she claims is “non-binary,” to use they/them pronouns even though the child who she says is non-binary doesn’t want to. She uses a “nonbinary doll” and candy rewards for accurate pronoun use. pic.twitter.com/X2xVCGhp25

Even the non-binary 6-year-old was complaining that using they/them pronouns was too hard.
The G-word seems appropriate here.

When these kids grow up and realize how f*cked up this all is, they will rebel. And the parents won't like the backlash.

I wish child services would be in it for the protection of kids rather than for the whims of adult.

I’m simultaneously sickened at what this mother is doing to her children and sorrowful for the challenges they’ll have to endure later in life as a result of it.

"Is it the best parenting?"
It isn't parenting at all. It's Pavlovian conditioning. Pavlov notwithstanding, I wouldn't do this to my dog. And I don't even particularly like my dog.

“Is it the best parenting? Probably not.”
But not for the reasons she is thinking.

She’s probably getting a lot of positive feedback from other birthing people in the group who think this is brilliant.
