Everyone is generally in agreement that the police dropped the ball in the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Last we’d heard, an Uvalde police officer had the shooter in his sights but waited for permission from his supervisor to take the shot.
Now the Austin Statesman and KVUE have stitched together body cam footage and security camera footage to lay out a timeline of the shooting, and as with every other revelation, it just makes the whole thing more infuriating.
They were kind enough to edit out the audio of the children screaming, but it’s still chilling to watch:
Pay close attention to the time stamp in the upper left hand corner.

John Martinez’s aunt Irma Garcia was shot in the Uvalde attack.
Her husband Joe died two days later of a heart attack leaving their four children orphaned.

The editor's note of 'the sound of children screaming has been removed' just made my stomach turn. Horrifying.

Even with the screams removed, the actual visual of him entering, walking the halls, the child’s near encounter of him….fucking hell my entire body feels like it could just throw up

among everything else, dude hitting up the hand sanitizer is just sending me through the roof for some reason

Hand sanitizer guy just gutted me. What does he think is going on in that classroom ?

It’s notable how quickly they got inside the building, just a couple minutes after the murderer. Then they just stood around and chatted for an hour. Incredible.

This is absolutely brutal to watch

There are a number of things in that video that made me feel sick to my stomach, but the one where an armor-wearing officer makes a run for his life, away from the gunman, while those little kids and their teachers were in there getting massacred… I just can't.

Thank goodness no officers were hurt or killed! That would have been a real tragedy.

Absolutely disgraceful, how do they sleep at night? Cowards.

Each of those cops should have to face the parents of each child and individually explain their inaction.

This made me cry and it takes a lot to make me cry. My usual first response is anger. Police backing up, protecting themselves while innocents were being slaughtered. It's beyond sickening.

I’m so sick to my stomach. One officer checks his phone, while another sanitizes his hands. Helpless kids getting slaughtered, while parents are being handcuffed outside to save their children. What is this!! #Uvalde #UvaldeMassacre
— windycitygal22 (@WindyCityLady22) July 12, 2022
I am screaming at these men who are just waiting around while children are being slaughtered I can’t take watching it anymore I’m sick with anger and extreme rage

Reading the news of what happened is entirely different than seeing this. Watching the murderer enter the school. Hearing the shots. Watching the police do nothing. I'm appalled and sick to my stomach.

They said they didn't go in because they were only equipped with pistols. Horseshit, the cop at 11:37 that runs away from the shots has a goddamn rifle.

Take their badges and their pensions. Every last one of them.
