It was just a month or two ago that Tom Nichols wrote a piece for The Atlantic headlined, “Leave Joe Biden Alone.” Why not, the guy’s just president of the United States. And it was just today that the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin wrote a love letter to the vice president urging Democrats to listen to Kamala Harris and follow her lead. Who’s running the show, then? Seriously, who’s actually running the country?
Now it’s Dana Milbank’s turn to urge Democrats to give Biden a break.

Milbank tries to talk up Biden’s speeches, like these on gun control:
As for lacking fervor on gun carnage, Biden said after the Uvalde, Tex., massacre, “What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for except to kill someone?” and “Deer aren’t running through the forest with Kevlar vests on, for God’s sake. It’s just sick,” and “When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?” and “I am sick and tired of it. We have to act. And don’t tell me we can’t have an impact on this carnage.” After the Buffalo massacre, he denounced the “murderous, racist rampage” and “weapons of war” deployed by an “evil” shooter “who massacred innocent people in the name of hateful and perverse ideology.”
Wow, Biden denounced a mass shooting and called the shooter “evil”? And he told the deer in Kevlar vests story again — what more do you want?
Give Biden a break.
Why? He takes one every weekend in Delaware.

Bide has been given breaks for 45+ years.
He gets zero more breaks.

He has 81 million voters on his side…apparently, allegedly, supposedly.

He has both houses of Congress and can’t get anything done, and the best he can do is blame Republicans for obstructing him. In other words, he’s failed on every issue important to Democrats — but give him a break. He’s trying, sort of.
