There’s a lot of cognitive dissonance going around on this today, after the lead of the Supreme Court decision draft on Roe v. Wade. On the one hand, we have people like Whoopi Goldberg explaining how the decision to have an abortion is always a difficult one. On the other, we have people celebrating their abortions with drinks and cake and “shouting” their abortions. They’ve fought for abortion, on-demand, without apology.
New York Attorney General Letitia James called a press conference Tuesday and describes how she “proudly” walked into Planned Parenthood to abort her child. Good for her, we guess.

“Proudly?” How crass. https://t.co/poXdPVGFmh

One should never use the word proud in a conversation about abortion regardless of your stance.

Pride is always the virtue that fails, and causes the downfall.

No, let her talk. When it becomes social poison to brag about this stuff, it will be out there permanently.

Not something to be proud of.

i don't want female leaders who would "proudly" declare something like this.

Not sure “proudly” is a word that should be used here…

And she would do it again if she got the chance.

So someone who is proud of taking an innocent life is the chief law enforcement official in New York state. Wonderful.

And in NY you will be able to continue walking into clinics as often as you need to to abort your baby. In liberal states you can abort your baby in the 9th month if you want and that’s going to be your right. But not every state has people that think exactly like you.

New York will be one of those states offering to fly in and house birthing persons who can’t get an abortion in their home state.
