'Troll level: Master': CNN reports that Sen. Kyrsten Sinema's ringtone includes the refrain, 'You don't have the votes'

Here’s a little tidbit from a CNN interview with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema that’s attracting some attention:

Before the start of the interview on Thursday, Sinema’s cellphone rang. Her ringtone is the refrain from a song in the musical “Hamilton” that includes the lyrics “you don’t have the votes.” It’s been her ringtone since 2015, the year the musical was originally released, her spokesman told CNN.

Don’t ruin it for us; tell us she changed her ringtone in 2021.

There’s some really nasty language in the replies, but as the reporting goes, it’s been her ringtone since the musical came out, and there’s no indication that the line “you don’t have the votes” is anywhere in the ringtone itself — that’s something CNN’s reporters brought to the table as news. It’s still funny though.
