Sheriff Grady Judd tells Florida citizens to just chill out and quit murdering people

Polk County, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd is a national treasure. When there was controversy over Gov. Ron DeSantis’ anti-riot legislation, Judd broke out photos for the press to show them the difference between a riot and a peaceful protest. “Some people are slow learners,” he explained.

And when word got around that violent protests in Polk County over the death of George Floyd might spill into neighborhoods, he reminded rioters that citizens like their guns. “The people in Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns… And if you try to break into their homes to steal, to set fires, I’m highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns,” he said at a press conference.

There’s not much context here, but Judd is reportedly addressing a surge in violent crime in Polk County and encouraging citizens to “just chill out.”

There’s a lot of pushback in the replies, saying you drink RC Cola with a Moon Pie. But otherwise, it sounds like solid advice.
