Here’s a hot take from G.N. Cordova that we see alluded to now and then, but so few have but it so eloquently as she has. We all know there’s extremism on the right end of the political spectrum, but the mainstream media never seems to address leftist extremism. Or maybe they do, because leftist extremists just want to defund the police, tax corporations, and stop criminalizing poverty. And in order to advocate for these things, they riot and set fires and hold federal courthouses under siege for months.
Extremism on the right is being a literal Nazi and extremism on the left is wanting to stop criminalizing poverty and hold police accountable/drastically reduce their huge budgets to support community programs and tax corporations to improve the quality of life of the masses.

Why is it that when we discuss left vs right wing extremism, people on the right never want to discuss… what’s actually happening today… in this country?
— GC (@GNCordova) October 17, 2021
Why is what happened in the summer of 2020 off-limits when it comes to discussing extremism?
This take just gets funnier every time they trot it out. pic.twitter.com/megI9uYdTS

They, too, just wanted to improve the quality of life of the masses.

Minus the burning down courthouses, police stations, a few dozen killed and 2 billion in damage all in one summer.

Extremism on the left resulted in nearly 100 million deaths over the course of the 20th century. Today, millions of people in Venezuela and Cuba are suffering under leftist regimes who also promised to "improve the quality of life of the masses."

If you think there is no extremism on the left that can be comparable to nazism or fascism, you are either straight up ignorant of history or you’re trying to provide cover for it.

This might be the dumbest thing ever to put into words.

Extremism on the left is calling everyone that doesn't 100% agree with you a Nazi so you can justify doing horrible things to them.

The most pathetic element of this tweet isn't the historical illiteracy but the embarrassing lack of irony. She sincerely believes this.
