Here's a great mini-thread and media montage of Michael Avenatti, who faces a 'very substantial prison term'

The Daily Beast is reporting that media darling Michael Avenatti faces a “very substantial” prison term for trying to extort millions from Nike. “Avenatti, 50, was convicted last year of trying to extort $25 million out of Nike to buy his silence on allegations of corruption involving college athletes,” writes Philippe Naughton. “His lawyers have said that his public shaming has been punishment enough and he should spend no more than six months in prison.”

Here’s Drew Holden with a mini-thread on the media’s star treatment of Avenatti, who represented Stormy Daniels.

But there’s more!

Enjoy these video montages of Avenatti getting the star treatment:

“Prosecutors noted a Probation Office recommendation that Avenatti … should serve eight years in jail.”
