Palestinians apparently went on a 24-hour strike Tuesday, and the New Yorker Union tweeted its solidarity. But it didn’t stop there; it tweeted its solidarity “from the river to the sea.”

New Yorker Union casually calling for destruction of Israel
— Larry (@Larry_3000_) May 19, 2021
Looks like you may have accidentally called for a genocide. Care to correct that, or do you actually hate Jews? You should clarify
— Professor Pepperoni (@ProfessorPeppe1) May 19, 2021
Do you guys even know what the trope, “from the river to the sea” even means. You probably don’t and should look it up.
— Robert Gourley (@rlgourley) May 19, 2021
So you've endorsed wiping Israel off the map?

To be clear, is ethnic cleansing of Israel the editorial position of the New Yorker or just the position that most employees hold?

Hey, if y'all could not publicly call for the genocide of my people, I'd really appreciate it.

Your Jewish subscribers just heard you loud clear.

This is a hateful, antisemetic slogan, used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad to justify the murder and genocide of the Jews in their historic homeland. Remove this hateful crap immediately.
— Newsgatherer (@GroupToStopHate) May 19, 2021
Wow. Absolutely not hiding it anymore.

— B-30 (@Wu1f_tketkr) May 19, 2021
You should have punched someone and then hid behind a child. Now THAT'S solidarity with Palestine!!!
— Dennis (@dgsalem09) May 19, 2021
Did some intern post this or are they going to claim they really don’t know what this trope implies?
