The Post Millennial, of which journalist Andy Ngo is editor-at-large, is reporting Monday that Twitter has temporarily locked Ngo out of his account for violating Twitter’s rules about hateful conduct.
The Post Millennial reports that this is the tweet to which Ngo responded. (Note: #TDOR stands for Trans Day of Remembrance.)
Since 2013, more than 150 trans people have been murdered in the U.S., the majority Black transgender women. On #TDoR2019, we remember and honor the lives lost, hold their loved ones in our hearts and must commit to doing all we can to end this epidemic of violence and hate. https://t.co/c1pYPPmpxD

Twitter pulled the tweet in which Ngo responded:
The US is one of the safest countries for trans people. The murder rate of trans victims is actually lower than that for cis population. Also, who is behind the murders? Mostly black men.
Twitter suspended Ngo for 12 hours for hateful conduct. “You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.” We’ve read his tweet a few times now and still can’t find the promotion of violence, threat, or harassment.
Twitter has suspended Andy Ngo. https://t.co/qQQmB9pPXP

Stating a verifiable empirical claim is hateful?
Unbelievable.
ALL HE DID WAS TWEET THE DATA ?

This is embarrassing, @jack @Twitter @TwitterSupport
If this violates your standards, you basically are saying any free exchange of ideas on this topic is out of bounds. https://t.co/nWSt54ziMn

It seems @TwitterSupport has suspended @MrAndyNgo for stating the factual information, info I wrote about myself while investigating transgender murders in the US.https://t.co/mTKrKNXsBA

He’s locked – not quite as bad as being suspended but still stupid.

Apparently for citing statistics

I think we've all learned by now that it's not about being factually or empirically correct. It's about being "morally correct." @Twitter decided a while ago defending PC is more important than defending free speech.

The ministry of truth doesn’t approve

Just by reading the article. It's obvious Twitter does not read the reports. I can tell that people mass flagged him cause they got triggered

What crime did he commit? Documenting real news without a license ?

So facts are harmful now and can’t be tweeted. Nice work @jack

Twitter hates facts.
— Mommy Esq (@Catatonic11) November 25, 2019
Well that's one way to draw a lot more attention to the info he tweeted. Unintended consequences…

When facts are offensive there is a real problem.

Twitter seems to be seeking the line of what is legally actionable or not. This is clearly liberal truth-stiffling. cc: @Barnes_Law

Twitter also bans people who say boys aren't girls, so…

He ruins perfectly good narratives with nasty dirty facts. Ban? Nay, BURN!???
— Whateverdear (@WhateverDearest) November 25, 2019
What's he 'guilty' of @jack, @Twitter, @TwitterSupport? Posting facts/data that the left couldn't dispute? Whiny libs cry about @facebook & Zuckerburg not doing enough to silence anyone not left of center. In other words, they want fb to be like twitter & butt hurt all the time.
— D. Crandall (@twifan_nana) November 25, 2019
Apparently he sent the left into hysterics by reporting facts and they flooded @TwitterSupport with complaints. Of course @TwitterSupport has to lock his account while they "investigate".
