New York Times deletes really poorly worded and unproven allegation against Brett Kavanaugh

Hey, guess what: the hearings are long over, the circus left town, and Brett Kavanaugh is a Supreme Court justice for life. Unfortunately, the story isn’t over, because Kavanaugh is about to get raked over the coals again in a new book by Kate Kelly and Robin Pogrebin, who offered up a sample in the New York Times — a taste the Times was happy to promote with tweet after tweet after tweet:

“Brett Kavanaugh fit in with the privileged kids. She did not.”

A drunken dorm party? What happened? Is this like when Christine Blasey Ford couldn’t find anyone to back up her testimony — because that was enraging from the perspective of due process.

What incident? It looks like the New York Times tweeted it, or at least Deborah Ramirez’ account of it, but then got cold feet and deleted it.

Um … what? “Having a penis thrust in your face at a drunken dorm party may seem like harmless fun?” That doesn’t sound like something a woke New York Times social media staffer would tweet, does it?

The New York Times figured out pretty quickly it was a bad tweet.

Sounds like harmless fun!
