President Trump is holding a rally Tuesday afternoon in Hackberry, La., and as Twitchy reported, CNN’s Jim Acosta was aghast to hear the president getting political during a taxpayer-funded event.
Former TIME reporter Zeke Miller — the guy who kicked off Trump’s first term by falsely claiming the president had removed the bust of Martin Luther King Jr. from the Oval Office — is now covering the White House for the Associated Press, also couldn’t help but note that Trump took a shot at the field of 23 Democratic candidates all vying for the nomination in 2020.
Trump is using his official (taxpayer-funded) event to mock his would-be 2020 rivals. "350 million people and that's the best we can do," he says.
