Just a coincidence: CBS's 'The Good Fight' tweets list reading, 'Assassinate President Trump'

Remember last fall when “Big Bang Theory” producer Chuck Lorre sneaked a prayer into the end title card for the Oct. 25th show (right before the midterm elections) that read, in part:

… Of course if you, in your divine wisdom, believe a fascist, hate-filled, fear-mongering, demagogic, truth-shattering, autocratic golf cheater is what we need right now, then, you know, thy will be done. … Also God, please help Bob Mueller. Guide him and make him strong, brave, wise and true. … Amen.

We weren’t amused when we read it last October, but now, the invocation for God to help and guide the strong, brave, wise, and true Bob Mueller is kind of a hoot.

Now it looks like CBS All-Access show “The Good Fight” managed to sneak in a little Easter egg for those paying close attention. The show tweeted a list and asked if anyone caught the target words. This apparently wasn’t the answer they were looking for, but the first three words in the first column just happened to be “Assassinate President Trump.”

It’s been deleted, but come on. Who thought this was at all a good idea, let alone a moral one? Oh wait, this is Hollywood. How did morals get in there?

But this is just a harmless joke, while every time someone says “some people did something” it’s considered an incitement to kill Rep. Ilhan Omar. And as recently as 2017, The New York Times was still reporting the debunked claim that Sarah Palin’s “crosshairs” electoral map got Gabby Giffords shot.

Apology forthcoming? Doesn’t look like it. CBS declined to comment to Fox News for its story on the tweet.
