Their voices are shushed and reduced? Then why is CNN doing a segment on all the attention Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib are getting?

As always, CNN comes through with the chyron: “Some freshmen house Dems bring energy and issues.” Yes, they certainly have issues. On Monday, Tlaib lamented the station of women of color in Congress who must fight through the hate to be heard.

Might we suggest that Congress was never perfect, but it certainly was much closer to perfect before the newest hot mess of a freshman class was sworn in?

What was the purpose of this tweet, anyway? To garner sympathy? To take Congress down a peg? It’s hard out here for a congresswoman who sits down to dinner with a prominent donor who compares Israel to ISIS and publishes her work in Louis Farrakhan’s newsletter.
