We’d thought we’d reached the outer limits earlier with that tweet about male and female bodies being colonial constructions that don’t exist, but hey, this is Twitter.
What’s really frightening isn’t this tweet, but the number of people responding and saying, “That’s really interesting, can you suggest some further reading?”
If it helps at all, the author, @queersocialism, describes themself in their Twitter bio as a gender non-conforming, Marxist, colonized subject.
heterosexuality does not exist without sexual and gendered coercion. there is no such thing as a heterosexuality that is not inherently coercive. there is no heterosexuality that does not reinforce structural oppression.
there is no “healthy” or “good” heterosexuality, period.
— stolen person. (@queersocialism) January 9, 2019
So now it’s actually heterosexuality that is unnatural?? ?????
— smalltime (@Dep_Inso) January 9, 2019
yes

I guess the animal kingdom musta been coerced into reproducing by society too and not biology.

So there you have it.
I hope you get the opportunity to share you views in prime time on the podium of the Democratic National Convention in 2020!

this is gross and oppressive if you replace “heterosexuality” with an adjective for a marginalized group. this is gross and oppressive.

I get it. You took some college courses, had a thought and believed it was valid. It's not. Just admit, you're still learning AND healing, apparently.

I'm convinced people saying crazy shit like this don't believe it themselves, they just want a reaction. How about you go play outside and make some friends.

The problem starts when they poison the well of academia and infiltrate government policy and, in turn, society with their unscientific fantasies.
