Bloomberg News national political reporter Sahil Kapur was, like everyone else, watching Brett Kavanaugh testify under oath Thursday in an effort to refute an accusation of attempted rape.
Kapur’s keen journalistic eye also noticed that Kavanaugh seemed to show open disdain for Democratic senators today after being so polite during his initial confirmation hearings.
Striking contrast between Kavanaugh's consistently respectful and polite attitude toward Democratic senators at his initial hearing and the open disdain he's showing them today.

The change in tone didn’t slip past the Washington Post’s Mark Berman either:
This continues to stand out: Kavanaugh is repeatedly criticizing Democrats on the committee, interrupting them during questions and generally a world away from how he was 3 weeks ago, before the accusations were made publichttps://t.co/LNxMvPLRhO

I mean, honestly, if I had a bunch of senators leaking rape accusations about me to the media I’d probably be a bit angrier the next time I saw them.

Perhaps it's because they're accusing him of attempted rape, gang rape, and writing about farting in his yearbook. https://t.co/UXKD2DFWEQ

Attitude change – and I’m just spitballing here – happened when they accused him of being a rapist/gang rapist/eyes wide shut party sex ring operator. But that’s just a total wild guess. https://t.co/c4Df8Ukf7I

It's probably the accusations of gang rape that explain it. https://t.co/KHJSR0aRHg

It’s almost like between then & now the Democrats accused him of running a drug-fueled gang rape ring in the Greater Washington Area in the early 1980’s. https://t.co/o0ZCKSwCEQ

Uh huh, yeah, and when did the drugging women and gang rape charges come up? https://t.co/h9glzZc3CS

Yes, I guess dragging your name through the mud for 2 straight weeks while not giving you a chance to actually respond would make you a little mad. https://t.co/AP4oF8J3cE

I'd be upset too if I were being slandered and going through a character assassination. https://t.co/o9sbvdan5I
