The Michigan appeals court has ruled that Yvette Cormier can proceed with her lawsuit against Planet Fitness, which she says did not inform her of the gym’s policy to allow members to use the locker room that matches their identity.
She says Planet Fitness canceled her membership for violating the gym’s “judgment-free zone” policy after she warned other patrons of the policy.
Queerty says she went on a “transphobic rampage” and that “hate won” in court.

It all started back in 2015, when Cormier saw a trans woman in the locker room. She went around warning other gym members about someone who “totally looked like a man” in the women’s locker room and telling them they were “unsafe.”
Planet Fitness responded by terminating membership on grounds of “inappropriate and disruptive” behavior, saying Cormier violated their “judgement-free zone” policy with her transphobic outburst.

No.
Consent wins.
The woman was not informed physical males could enter the women's locker room. There is no hate involved. Reducing women's safety amd privacy to 'hate' in this one context is absurd and offensive.
The court ruled the company has a responsibility to inform. https://t.co/WdsMa4LgWd

Also? It really chaps my hide how casually people append the “phobic” suffix to things. Disagreeing with someone’s choices does not mean I have an irrational fear of that type of person.

It's also an example of "kafka trapping", in which you're accused of a thought crime, and your denial of it is further proof of your guilt. https://t.co/UsNAp9Cv3W

Absolutely disgusting. How dare this bigoted woman be against the idea of biological males using the same locker room and showers? Especially in light of creeps at Target taking pictures in changing rooms! How abhorrent and appalling.

Rofl this isn’t hate. This is common f*cking sense. I like this lady already and we’ve never met.

Who does she “hate”?

If you think this means hate wins then what you are saying is women should be forced not to have a CHOICE about showering with males.

Right or wrong, the LGBT community will never win at this. Women will never be able to get over walking in on naked biological men in their locker rooms. It's simply not going to happen.

Our guess is that the courts will eventually force women to get over it.
