Twitchy has covered a lot of pretty hot takes after yesterday’s joint presser between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, with the most scorching being those progressives comparing Russian hacking to 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and Kristallnacht.
Of course, don’t dare mention who was president at the time Russia was doing its election meddling — the one who didn’t want his accusations to appear political and instead settled for telling Puting to “cut it out.”
Here’s another tweet that followed yesterday’s press conference, and while CNN’s chief national security correspondent Jim Sciutto has a valid point, it really could stand to be fleshed out a bit.
Four years ago tomorrow, Russian-backed fighters fired a Russian-supplied missile to shoot down a commercial airliner over Ukraine killing all 298 on board – another crime not mentioned by Trump today. #MH17 pic.twitter.com/gEq2Uxidoy

Sure, Trump could have mentioned it, but as long as we’re measuring presidents on their condemnation of Russia …
Four years ago. Hmm. Who was president then?

Gee, remind me, who was president then and what did they do about it? https://t.co/jBTlmN728o

Hmmm. Who was the president when nothing was done about this? https://t.co/cuPvuRJHM5

Wait! What? Pretty sure some other guy, the name escapes me, was president 4yrs ago. Why didn't he say something then? https://t.co/mcIolsTQkg

I know right. Once that happened and Trump didn’t do anything about it, we should have…oh wait….who was President 4 years ago? What was that guy’s name again? Can’t quite recall it. Something about a bum or bummer. He must not have been very memorable.

But Obama was all over it right? Oh wait… pic.twitter.com/58HLwK2Jks

And what did President Selfie Stick do about it other than send "Thoughts and Prayers" and let Russia annex the Crimea?

That prompt military response by Obama showed balls didn’t it! Didn’t it?
— Scott H. (@DullhooksScott) July 17, 2018
Why did Obama let Russians into Ukraine to launch the missile? Why did Obama deny Ukraine weapons to defend themselves? Why didn't Obama call out Russia for this attack?

Liberals and Democrats running around blaming Trump for things that happened during their watch, and about which the did absolutely nothing! Situation: Normal.

Seventy-three years ago, the Rosenbergs stole military weapons secrets for Russia. Another crime not mentioned by President Trump. pic.twitter.com/66CIB3pR09

Proof that no leftist/media couch fainter gave a squirt what Russia did when Obama was in office. https://t.co/GuTaXQI0KC

Maybe CNN’s correspondent at the presser could have brought it up at the time?
