It was a little over two weeks ago when TBS host Samantha Bee called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t” for posting a photo of herself with her son while children were being separated from their illegal immigrant parents at the border.
Then, today, House Speaker Paul Ryan was shredded for posting a Father’s Day photo of himself with his newborn baby and called “a selfish, arrogant, cowardly, hypocrite, boasting of the joy of fatherhood while doing nothing to stop Trump from ripping children from their fathers at the border.”
In short, no one’s allowed to post a photo of themselves holding their child unless there’s a disclaimer, like S.E. Cupp’s “THIS MUST STOP.”
I’m lucky. I got to hold this nugget in my arms. I still get to. Imagine you’re a mommy who can’t, because of this awful Trump policy at the border that rips children away from their families. THIS MUST STOP. pic.twitter.com/mt584HtdHj

Not to be obtuse, but is there any reason Cupp wouldn’t be able to hold her baby? Is this what the immigration debate has come down to? Dueling family photos?
I’m a mommy who would never put myself or my children in a position to be separated from me by entering a country with them illegally. Your tweet makes it sound like ICE is charging into Mexico and stealing children.
Stop it. https://t.co/KvJi3JsFHZ

Get a visa, and cross at one of our many very nice official border crossings, and you and your little one will be fine, dear. https://t.co/gOtMBhgX23

….and when exactly does personal responsibility come ito play?
The laws should be followed or the laws should be changed.
It’s not rocket science. And quit pretending this began with Trump. It didn’t. #IllegalImmigration https://t.co/CYkWebAkkp

Going out on a limb and assuming you also wouldn't bring that little nugget with you as you illegally entered a country intending to stay there.
So not exactly apples and oranges there. https://t.co/26hGSA46og— Jellenne (@jellen805) June 16, 2018
As a mom, the last thing I would do is risk that nugget being taken from me. Therefore, I wouldn't illegally cross a border knowing that is what happens.
Parents are SOLELY responsible here. Don't get it twisted. https://t.co/73KfEX7F2x— MAGA ?? MEL ❌ (@GiglioMarilyn) June 16, 2018
Oh good grief. Almost all of us have a “nugget” and we choose to follow laws & not put them in situations that may cause stress, harm or separation. We can’t let everybody in & give freebies under the guise of “asylum”. Having a heart is great, but we can’t afford the world. https://t.co/ZjvUHVbynl

Go tour a women's prison and count the nuggets. Hint: There are none. https://t.co/6AadZWpEr6

When have you ever seen children sent to lockup with their parents… for any crime? When parents are detained children are put into protective custody. Why is this only a problem in matters of illegal border crossers? https://t.co/IHwUjFhfWx

Lawbreakers are the ones who decide to break up their families when they choose to violate the law.
S.E., are you equally outraged when American criminals are separated from their families when they go to jail? Or are you only upset because these are illegal immigrants? https://t.co/r730Zj2kzx

Yeah. Throwing your kid in my face proves only that you are utterly incapable of making a reasoned argument and thus are forced to fall back on the most puerile and loathsome form of emotive grandstanding. Stunts like this truly, truly test my resolve not to be anti-parent. https://t.co/0CjLmMZ02K

People will say “this Trump policy”, and then once it’s pointed out that the policy originated in the Obama-era 9th circuit, will accuse you of whataboutism. People, either leave Trump out of it or be prepared to defend Obama for the same policy. https://t.co/vW1LgLQD4k

Imagine, if you will, a law passed before Trump was president that was being enforced before Trump was president that Congress refuses to address as they have been charged to do by the electorate. Oh, and people coming to the US illegally then complaining when arrested. https://t.co/Yq1JuLAOCr

Don't send children unaccompanied and come here legally! That will end all of that. Also, as long as dems refuse to come to the table to work with Trump and repubs on a solution, it will not stop. Time to see who wants the issue, and who wants a resolution to end it. https://t.co/VYHkHwjQrd

If this is a Trump policy, how does it explain all the photos of kids in cages and “prison buses” with child seats from the previous administration?
And when will it be OK again to post a photo of yourself and your child enjoying each other’s company? When we have open borders?
