Warning: Courtrooms will be clogged if Trump continues to criminalize illegal immigration

We’re featuring this tweet just because we really like the obtuse wording by Human Rights Watch executive director Kenneth Roth:

This is what clogged courtrooms will look like if Trump-Sessions continue to criminalize the mere entrance of immigrants into the US without documentation. https://t.co/BQU69Pj21p pic.twitter.com/SacdFdC0Do

Pardon us if we’ve gotten our history wrong, but hasn’t “the mere entrance of immigrants into the U.S. without documentation” been happening long before President Trump was sworn in? What did the courtrooms look like then?

What about we de-criminalize the uninvited entrance of people into homes that they don't own? THAT'LL FREE UP SOME CLOGGED COURTROOMS! https://t.co/zmjl8myCvP

The “mere entrance” of immigrants without documentation? How about decriminalizing the mere entrance of someone into your house? Your car? It’s organizations like yours that encourage this law breaking.

Um… it's a crime to cross the border into the U.S. without "documentation." Doesn't looked clogged to me. It looks swell. https://t.co/xkjzbZaywu

Entering the United States illegally is a crime and was a crime before @realDonaldTrump took office

Build the WALL and more COURTROOMS then

Hey
Know what?
If we had a wall
We could avoid this https://t.co/6zqEbaTn3s
