Remember Karen Mallard, the congressional candidate in Virginia who shot a video of herself (illegally?) sawing the barrel off of her family’s AR-15?
Expect more of the same from Democrats. CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski dug up a campaign video by Pennsylvania congressional candidate George Scott in which he chucks his rifle into a burn pile while calling for a ban on “assault rifles meant for war.”

Are you sure that’s an AR-15?

Burning a .22 that looks like an AR-15 that looks like a M-4 to own the Conservatives —> @GScott4Congress https://t.co/pIknA6tzsE

The Free Beacon’s Stephen Gutowski, who’d actually know the difference, weighed in with some questions.
He seems to want to ban AR-15s because they look like the M-4s or M-16s he trained with in the Army. Then he burns a .22 rifle that's merely made to look like an AR-15 instead of an actual AR-15. A lot of layers of misconception in there. https://t.co/6gcy313cZI

"Lots of layers of misconception" should be the name of the gun control movement… https://t.co/bguttzon76

Really drives home the solid reasoning behind feature bans, though. #allblackgunslookalike
