Even the staunchest supporters of President Donald Trump have to be wondering where he finds his lawyers. And where those lawyers find their lawyers.
On the one hand, we have Michael Cohen and on the other we have Jay Goldberg, a longtime legal adviser to Trump who told CNN’s Erin Burnett Thursday night why he suspected Cohen might flip on the president.
In short, Cohen is afraid he might go to prison, and rape by black inmates isn’t his thing.
Goldberg says he's thinks Cohen will talk to prosecutors because he's worried about getting raped in prison.
"He's not suited to stand up to the rigors of jail life… Michael doesn't see himself walking down Broadway while people are clamoring, 'you're going to be my wife.'" pic.twitter.com/5IciTrNzp5

Not only that, but prison has “racial overtones.”

“Prison has a racial overtone.” It sure seems like Trump’s divorce lawyer, who says Trump called him a few days ago, went on CNN and claimed Michael Cohen is going to flip because he’s afraid of being raped by black men. https://t.co/kZHGvwtrA8

I had to rewind to watch this twice to make sure it was real, then on the second play my cable box spontaneously popped and died. I’m 100% serious. It was like “HELL NO TAKE ME BACK TO COMCAST IM DONE!!” so now I’m on my way to exchange it for one with a stronger stomach. https://t.co/hzzmPWdcHP

One of the most peculiar things about the Trump orbit is that almost no one in it can resist being on tv, even when it means saying things that make either Trump or themselves look terrible. https://t.co/8mfjpjfVRM

Just when you think it can't get any worse, a Trump lawyer says that Michael Cohen shouldn't go to jail because he's scared of having sex with black men. WOW. https://t.co/DfmRJ2J0wo

“…prison has a racial overtone…” right before he talks about Cohen being raped in prison. Because rape isn’t bad enough; it’s being raped by a black guy? WTF https://t.co/YYi0IVSCt3

Ok, so according this man, Michael Cohen will flip because he is afraid of being raped by Black men in federal prison… https://t.co/DhlwTNz34U

Jay Goldberg thinks Michael Cohen can't stand up to walking "down Broadway" in prison while guys yell "You're going to be my wife." Cohen will take a bullet or jump out a window, but not live in prison. https://t.co/DPWVB3z8qe
