BREAKING NEWS: President Donald Trump tweets and the press is butthurt.
Actually, there’s more to it than that, but you can tell it stings whenever Trump or any of his supporters use the term “fake news,” as Trump did Saturday afternoon:
In the first hours after hearing that North Korea’s leader wanted to meet with me to talk denuclearization and that missile launches will end, the press was startled & amazed. They couldn’t believe it. But by the following morning the news became FAKE.They said so what, who cares!

CNN’s Brian Stelter, of course, took the bait.
"The news became FAKE" — this is revealing re: how he views coverage https://t.co/PH6qW08sZV

Awwwwww @brianstelter it must hurt…. Getting worked by @realDonaldTrump like that…. If @BarackObama had gotten a meeting with #kimjongun he would have been treated like #God. But he didnt… so @brianstelter gotta hate… bahahahahaha got'em https://t.co/9hJFDqeMFk

So did Chuck Todd, host of MSNBCs “MTP Daily.”
Huh? He’s trying to level a critique that has no basis in fact, even using the loose set of parameters he sometimes uses to call something a “fact” or “fake” doesn’t apply on this. Now if he replaced “press” with “some West Wing staff,” there’d be some truth in this. https://t.co/2TVaxt6zUf

Does Chuck Todd watch his own network? Wasn’t it MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough who the following morning reported that the announcement about North Korean nuclear talks was a painfully obvious ploy to distract from the Stormy Daniels scandal? A clever trick? A ruse?

So what Trump was saying in his tweet was that, by the following morning, the news had become “fake” and the press said, “Who cares?” Hmm…
It has every basis in fact as beautifully documented here https://t.co/h0d2kswr7o https://t.co/zFTuF9Tm3V

Head down the hallway and have a talk with Scarborough if you think he should take serious news a little more seriously.
