Vox uncovers hidden link proving health coverage under Senate plan is worse than being waterboarded

It’s a given that the Grim Reaper himself is a huge fan of the Senate’s health care plan. After House Republicans released their proposal to replace Obamacare, the Reaper began showing up outside GOP town halls across the country to oversee die-ins in hallways and parking lots — and if the Senate plan really is that much meaner, all the better, then.

Seeing how difficult it is to get Death to commit to writing an op-ed, Vox did the best it could to find an alternative. As it turns out, Marc Thiessen wrote a piece for the Washington Post decrying the Senate health plan as “morally reprehensible.”

What’s that have to do with Vox? Vox, you see, filled in the missing pieces of the puzzle. Thiessen, a speech writer for President George W. Bush, famously defended the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, including waterboarding, on captured terrorists in his 2010 book. See the connection now?

If a man who once defended waterboarding believes the Senate health care plan is reprehensible, the conclusion is obvious: being covered under the Senate plan is worse than being waterboarded.

Sen. Chuck Schumer was really holding back then when he said the Senate’s plan was even meaner than the House’s version. It’s literally worse than torturing millions of Americans using enhanced interrogation techniques.

Frankly, we were promised a full repeal of Obamacare, so we’re holding out for that.
