Name of New York Times reporter who allegedly referred to Melania Trump as a hooker not fit to print?

The paper that has long claimed to deliver all the news that’s fit to print isn’t naming the reporter who allegedly referred to first lady Melania Trump as a “hooker” at a New York Fashion Week event.

We’re including “allegedly,” although according to Politico, the Times released a statement saying that even though the reporter doesn’t cover Washington or politics, the comment was inappropriate, and “editors have talked to the reporter in question about the lapse” — so it doesn’t seem as though the Times is denying the charge, which was leveled by actress Emily Ratajkowski.

The Times isn’t denying Ratajkowski’s story about a reporter passing along the “unfounded rumor,” but the paper does seem to be denying the public the reporter’s name.

If only the paper had an investigative reporter on staff to dig into this mystery.
