There’s a growing uproar both on social media and on the ground at JFK International in New York, where the crowd protesting President Donald Trump’s “extreme vetting” executive order has ballooned in size.

Demonstrators who’ve assembled at Terminal 4 say they’re there to support the 11 or so people caught up in Trump’s travel ban, which took effect while they were in transit and despite the fact they had the paperwork to enter the U.S.
And then there’s Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), who might have intended to have lashed out against Donald Trump’s executive orders Friday but instead appeared more concerned with shoring up his own self-righteousness, exploiting a famous photo of a dead Syrian child to make his detractors feel even more guilty for criticizing him while defending America’s supposed moral leadership.
To my colleagues: don't ever again lecture me on American moral leadership if you chose to be silent today. pic.twitter.com/XW7sjmCcXh

Weird … a lot of liberals have been exploiting that photo recently; even progressives triggered by Friday’s March for Life were using the picture to make the specious argument that pro-lifers care more about fetuses than Muslim children. But logical fallacies are the stock-in-trade of liberals. This is the same person who was triggered by people sending “thoughts and prayers” rather than taking action after the San Bernardino massacre.

This is Alan Kurdi. Assad, Iran & Russia are responsible for his death. But it happened under Obama, who allowed Syria to burn. https://t.co/dnyXdhdrRj

Don't forget Turkey for not allowing his family an exit visa and Canada for not taking them in.

There’s a lot of blame to go around here, but Murphy’s colleagues rank pretty far down on the list … even Canada doesn’t get a pass on this one, as Kurdi’s family was reportedly trying to reach Canada after leaving Syria and settling in Turkey.
Actually the father of Alan Kurdi is responsible for the death of Alan Kurdi. @SethAMandel @ChrisMurphyCT

Don’t forget global warming for creating both ISIS and climate refugees. In fact, since there so many factors played into that tragedy, maybe everyone should just stop exploiting that photo and let the child rest in peace.
