Whoa … here’s a shocker from NBC News that’s just in.
JUST IN: Sources: Obama admin. thought Clinton would win, didn't want to risk potential cyber war with Russia. https://t.co/8L7bHFw3AV

While plenty of sources have insisted that Vladimir Putin himself was personally directing a hacking campaign against the Hillary Clinton campaign, others have asked repeatedly: if the Russians were known to be trying to influence the election through hacking, why didn’t the Obama administration do anything about it? Instead, the president went out on the road with Hillary Clinton to join her on the campaign trail.
The Obama administration didn’t respond more forcefully to Russian hacking before the presidential election because they didn’t want to appear to be interfering in the election and they thought that Hillary Clinton was going to win and a potential cyber war with Russia wasn’t worth it, multiple high-level government officials told NBC News.
NBC News’s own sources on the matter say that —brace yourselves — the administration was going to brush off allegations of hacking and look into them after Clinton had been elected. Plus, they certainly didn’t want to risk a cyberwar during a busy campaign season.
"They thought [Clinton] was going to win, so they were willing to kick the can down the road," one US official asserts to @NBCNightlyNews.

That everyone assumed Hillary was going to win goes a long way toward explaining why she didn’t, in retrospect.

@nbcbayarea @NBCNews All these Dems really need to stop being sour and find something else to do.

So, he only cares about Russian hacking if he thinks it will harm Democrats' electoral chances? The man is brilliant.

so hacking was fine when it looked like HC was going to win, Trump wins and its horrible. No proof provided yet

@RedDirtSport That's rich. So their candidate loses so NOW it's an issue. Which means it is strictly political.

So, it's perfectly fine for the POTUS to not protect this country, because he thought Cankles McPantsuit was going to win?

@jtLOL @NBCNews if they thought clinton wld win then they clearly didnt think the "russian hack" had any influential hand.

@FreeBeacon @NBCNews Totally makes sense. It's part of Obama do nothing policy, talk up support, & deny the negative result
