The committee drafting the Democratic Party platform met on Friday for its final meeting before presenting the finalized document at the party’s convention in Philadelphia in July and worked into Saturday to hash out differences between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders supporters.
Not surprisingly, Sanders supporters are still feeling the burn of losing the nomination to Clinton, and there have been plenty of accusations that the drafting committee is freezing out some of Sanders’ most basic policy proposals, like a national $15 an hour minimum wage.
The media certainly enjoyed the narrative of the Republican party imploding, but the Democrats have proved that their own party is severely fracked up too.

Hillary's #DemPlatform is to "pragmatically" continue the planet killing immoral economy benefitting the 1% with lip service to the 99%.

Does #StrongerTogether mean no ban to fracking, no carbon tax? Asking for 13 million voters. #DemPlatform ???

A ban on fracking is a must on the #DemPlatform. If we don't get it, we will shut it down. This is a promise. pic.twitter.com/hYhDMrCiXR

Wait. Pause. The #DemPlatform delegates voted down single payer healthcare, the 15 dollars minimum wage, and the ban on fracking? What?!

So did they just go against everything Bernie wanted in the #DemPlatform out of spite, or are they just completely stupid?

Democrat strategist Donna Brazile tweeted that it’s unfortunate how many lies are being passed around and thanked Sally Kohn for setting the record straight.
Thanks for posting abt #DemPlatform. So many lies are spreading faster that a tweet. It's really unfortunate. https://t.co/wz7FrqyDzG

@sallykohn this is the opposite of what I read in yesterday's paper. So what is the truth?
— #JoeIsANo (@garygiddings) June 25, 2016
Even Kohn didn’t know what was going on yesterday.

Of course, Kohn’s information comes from an unnamed “source,” so who really knows? For the moment, we’ll assume her source is solid, and that the Democrat Party leadership will simply do what it likes in July by means of utterly bogus voice votes repeated as many times as it takes to achieve the desired result, like the one to restore God to the party’s platform.
I should clarify my #DemPlatform tweet. I haven't read the final doc yet. But I do hear there are things to celebrate in it.

According to source, anti-death penalty, millionaires tax, financial transaction tax and $15 min wage are in #DemPlatform. Fantastic!

Hillary for America’s Karen Finney seems to approve of the AP’s reporting Saturday, which claims that Sanders’ positions are well represented in the party’s platform.
Draft of Dems' policy positions reflects Sanders' influence | Political News | US News https://t.co/ucrqOEPauV

US News and World Report relays that the draft document “reflects Clinton’s views and advocates working toward a ‘two-state solution of the Israel-Palestinian conflict’ that guarantees Israel’s security with recognized borders,” but that the panel “narrowly rejected amendments that would have imposed a tax on carbon and imposed a national freeze on fracking.”

@usnews why does a non dem get to have any fingerprint on our platform? He needs to have a seat or go home he lost!
— Katrina ??? (@KatDBishop) June 25, 2016
Was there a policy position on how to support Dem party once you've lost nomination?
— Pam T. Is it ever gonna be over? (@thebasslady) June 25, 2016
@usnews Zilch to combat climate change. Zilch to get $ out of elections. A couple crumbs thrown to the peons.

all will be ignored by Hillary. Her Wall Street and corporate donors won't allow it
