Transparent: Hillary Clinton's IT aide would like to keep his immunity deal a secret too

Expect to hear plenty from Hillary Clinton Tuesday night about the historic nature of her nomination, but don’t expect to hear anything, perhaps ever, from Bryan Pagliano, the former State Department staffer who helped set up her private email server.

Clinton in March said she was “delighted” to hear that the FBI had granted Pagliano immunity from prosecution. The previous September, Pagliano had pleaded the Fifth and walked out of a House Benghazi Committee hearing after 15 minutes.

How many hearings can Pagliano sit through in silence? He was supposed to be deposed Monday in a suit filed by Judicial Watch, but the judge delayed his testimony after Pagliano made it clear he intended to again plead the Fifth. Additionally, Pagliano is apparently trying to keep the details of his immunity deal under wraps as well.

That’s what Politico suspects. So much fuss over a routine security review!

Josh Gerstein reports:

A former technology adviser to Hillary Clinton appears to be seeking to keep under wraps an immunity deal the aide reportedly reached with the Justice Department in its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state.

A lawyer for Bryan Pagliano submitted a sealed motion and exhibits to U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan Tuesday afternoon, less than two hours before the 5 p.m. deadline Sullivan set for the filing of Pagliano’s immunity agreement.

All of this just because Clinton didn’t want the inconvenience of carrying two electronic devices? Or was it because she didn’t want to public to read about her yoga routines and Chelsea’s wedding plans?

Exit question: Who granted Hillary Clinton her apparent immunity from prosecution?
