Oberlin's special snowflakes almost make Dana Perino think about possibly considering swearing

Wow, we haven’t seen Fox News’ Dana Perino this worked up in a long time.

What has Perino so upset? The special snowflakes that lend their unique sparkle to the campus of Oberlin have another demand, now that the president has told them they can’t have designated black-only safe spaces across campus, and the school isn’t going to pay student activists a stipend for their social justice work.

This bunch of young anti-capitalists have paid good money for passing grades, damn it, and they want their money’s worth. Student Zakiya Acey told The New Yorker, “You know, we’re paying for a service. We’re paying for our attendance here. We need to be able to get what we need in a way that we can actually consume it.”

Therefore, they want the school to eliminate all grades below a C and swap written exams for conversations with their professors. It seems the strain of being an activist can really cut into study time.

The Week reports:

The students say that between their activism work and their heavy course load, finding success within the usual grading parameters is increasingly difficult. “A lot of us worked alongside community members in Cleveland who were protesting,” Megan Bautista, a co-liaison in Oberlin’s student government, said, referring to the protests surrounding the shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice by a police officer in 2014. “But we needed to organize on campus as well — it wasn’t sustainable to keep driving 40 minutes away. A lot of us started suffering academically.”

Shout out to all of the working adults out there who commute to work 40 miles each way to pay for their kids’ education.
